News...but not what you know

Ever worked hard and thought: "I wish I was lying on the floor now"?

identical. But for many years, if we want to lay our backs flat on the floor, we need to suspend work...Most bosses are not optimistic about this.

Now, everything may change, because one person has given the world what the world desperately needs: a table that allows you to use a computer while lying down.

The Lying Down Desk was designed by Alex May, and his reasons for this idea are more effective than laziness you might expect.

Alex has been suffering from chronic back problems since he was a teenager, and he found that lying on the ground is an effective treatment.

Want to be able to use the computer-whether for work or games-and on the floor, he tried various solutions, but to no avail.

After considering using a ceiling projector or VR goggles, inspiration came. He didn't joke about all these, but installed the monitor on the bottom of the table, facing the floor. simple.

Alex asked a friend to make a prototype, which he has used for six months-with great success.

Now, he launched a Kickstarter designed to help others buy or make the same thing, and in theory, bid farewell to the need to sit in a chair and complete work online.

"Being a Kickstarter or running a small desk business has never been my plan-I just want to lie down and use the computer because sitting is too painful for me," Alex said. 'But it turns out that there is hardly anything that anyone can buy on the market, so I finally designed one myself and applied for a patent.

"I am very satisfied with this and hope that other people can easily use the computer while lying down, whether it is because of their physical defects that make it difficult to sit down, or they just want to be more comfortable." This is also an interesting side effect. project.

Please note that the table is not just for lying down.

Alex worked part-time for a small tech startup, coaching parkour, and writing articles about politics, which he designed to also apply to sitting and standing.

The table is divided into two, one height is suitable for sitting and using the computer, and the other part increases the standing height.

In the standing part, there is a hole in the table and a shelf-like unit on the top, under which the monitor can be placed. When the computer screen is moved here, it is 95 cm above the ground, allowing users to lie on the ground and look up at whatever they are doing.

The keyboard can be placed on your lap, or you can follow Alex's suggestion and place the split keyboard directly on the floor, on either side of your hips.

If you are reading this article and think "I still prefer to read this book while lying down", you can donate to Kickstarter to help make more recliners, or order your own (estimated shipping date is September 2022) 625 GBP.

"I was really happy when I found out that it was possible. Using it in the past six months was like a dream come true. I felt a lot less pain than usual," Alex added.

A woman of size 16 told her that she was not suitable for work because she was "not the slimmest girl"

"I hope other people can also use the recliner. Kickstarter is a great way for people to support this idea and get a series of initial orders.

"I hope that in the future I can use part of the profit to give away desks for free, because I don't like the fact that we live in a society where people who don't have enough money can't get them. Basic needs are met.
